01 · Overview

What this policy covers

BreakColorUI consists of a Dashboard application (web-based) and a Chrome Extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy across both surfaces. This policy explains the data we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and the rights you retain over it.

02 · Data we collect

Two surfaces, two collection models

Dashboard

Stored in our infrastructure

  • Email address and name (via Clerk authentication)
  • Project configurations: color palettes, typography, spacing, theme
  • Project names, IDs, and metadata

Necessary to provide the dashboard service.

Chrome Extension

Local-only, never transmitted

  • Color palettes synced from the Dashboard (local storage)
  • Active project name and ID
  • Copy mode preference (CSS variables / HEX)

Extension data never leaves your device.

03 · How we use it

Purpose limitation

  • Provide and maintain the dashboard and extension
  • Store and sync your color, typography, and spacing systems
  • Authenticate access and protect your account
  • Enable Dashboard ↔ Extension communication
  • Diagnose errors and improve product reliability

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Ever.

04 · Storage & security

Where your data lives

Data is stored using vetted infrastructure providers with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.

05 · Third-party services

Sub-processors

We rely on the following processors. Their privacy policies govern how they handle data on our behalf.

06 · Extension permissions

Why each Chrome permission is requested

  • storageStores your BreakColorUI project settings locally on your device for offline access.
  • activeTabDetects when you are editing in Breakdance Page Builder to apply colors to active inputs.
  • contextMenusAdds a right-click menu option for quick access to color palettes.
  • all URLsRequired because Breakdance is a WordPress plugin that can be installed on any self-hosted domain.

Note · The extension only activates when Breakdance Page Builder is detected. It does not collect or transmit data from any websites you visit.

07 · Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA & equivalent regimes

01Access your personal data
02Correct inaccurate data
03Delete your account and associated data
04Export your project data in JSON
05Opt out of optional cookies and analytics
06Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority

To exercise any of these rights, write to geralpixelhunter@gmail.com.

08 · Data retention

How long we keep things

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data and projects are removed within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

09 · Cookies & tracking

Strictly necessary by default

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management (Clerk, Supabase). Analytics cookies are loaded only after you explicitly accept the analytics category.

See the Cookie Policy for the full declaration and to manage preferences.

10 · Compliance

Frameworks we follow

BreakColorUI complies with Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act).
